I have emailed all the powers that be to arrange so.

FWIW, Tubby has supposedly not signed that contract yet.

There....is.......no........buyout.

(I'm against any suggestion of hiring him, just saying no buyout.)

You mean the hypothetical buyout that LSU will force him to take, if we agree to rehire him and he agrees to come back? Because he doesn't have a buyout to leave Alabama. No......Buy........Out........

Doesn't everybody when it comes to a coaching change? And, as of last count the number of people that actually were in Tiger Stadium the night Billy Cannon made his famous punt return is officially at 786,267.....just having some fun with you. I am a TAF member, damn here comes the "cash call" again!

are you people getting this Saban crap? Seriously. You can't be more delusional.

I'm just confused because 12hours ago everyone on here was saying Spurrier to LSU was a done deal. Now that's died down and it's suddenly Saban. I'm quite sure tomorrow morning it'll be Del RIo and tomorrow night Rodriguez.

CAN NOT HIRE SABAN!!!

1. Why would he take less money?

2. He would be locked out of Florida and Alabama as far as recruiting.

3. What would he tell Louisiana recruits?

4. What would he tell Louisiana high school coaches?

5. His credibility would be shot FOREVER.

6. There are still LSU people and fans pissed that he left the way he did.

There wouldn't be this firestorm if Buddy Songy hadn't run his mouth about it earlier today on the radio.

It would be an embarrassment if LSU hired Saban.

My opinion of him has improved....but that's not the issue....the issue is - he left LSU and took a job at a rival school eventually.....took some jabs at LSU in the media....

Tried to steal some commits from LSU (Benton, Aubrey)....

And tons of fans have expressed their hatred for him....it's just a terrible fit.....

And I don't think he would leave Bama either to come back to LSU....

Neither side should be interested...it's just not a wise decision at all....

Seems the day crew is more Spurrier, afternoon crew is Del Rio, and night crew is Saban.

Fun huh?

No Buyout for $aban

From the article:
quote:

A year later, after hiring the most star-studded name in the business (although the guy who turned the Tide down first, Rich Rodriguez of West Virginia, has his team No. 1 in the country), and pledging to spend $32 million over an eight-year period, after giving Nick Saban a one-way contract with no buyout and absolute power, is Alabama really any better off?

It is Finescum, and his opinions are usually crap, but the facts are usually pretty good.

I expect all this Saban talk is rampant speculation and rumor....I won't believe otherwise....

I don't think either side could actually be serious about it....I know some of these posters are - but many of them are off their rocker with the anti-Miles comments....

Oh absolutely. I was just clarifying that the reason he ain't coming back has nothing to do with a buyout.

Sound like a buncha girls whining over the guy who popped their cherry then dumped 'em.
