I think part of the deal to give him his full buyout was he wouldn’t go anywhere to directly compete against LSU for players for at least a couple of years.

As a part of the agreement, Orgeron cannot seek any coaching opportunities in the SEC for 18 months. Orgeron said a press conference Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, that he does not plan to coach next year.

But I feel like Coach O would absolutely kill it at an FCS school.

based on what? O with every resource available to him mismanaged and tanked the roster here, so how in the hell would he kill it somewhere with less resources and more responsibility ?

FCS type job means little to no support for analyst type positions

little to no money for competent coordinators

and the talent pool is drastically different than he's used to

yeah, that dude would not last 2 seasons as an FCS head coach.

Coaching and doing More with less matters at that level. Not O’s strengths.

He’s 61 and is a multi millionaire. Maybe he is going to enjoy life retired. You know that’s a thing.

Still just have to laugh that very binder wowed Joe Alleva and you’ve got people criticizing Woodward despite the hires he’s made.
