He has to be good with the hire. Not us. The rant wanted Canada, that didn’t work well. The rant melted over kevin steel, now he’s considered as one of the best. The rant melted over Steve ensminger, he’s been fine. The rant melted over O, he won a freaking natty in year three.

This is O’s hire. He is the one fired or praised. Let the man do his job. He’s been doing a damn good one so far.

I agree with everything you said except Steve E was helped immensely by Brady. I know this because Brady won the Broyles award and he became a NFL OC after one year of being just a “passing coordinator “.

Good lord. O had a great season. Epic, even. But, let's not rewrite history about O and Canada. O was the HC and O hired him. Then O ran him off. The Rant didn't force Canada on O.

No idea why you got downvoted.

Love me some Ensminger, but go back to ‘18. The offense wasn’t good enough. Shut out at home to ‘Bama.

Need to avoid that in the future.

Dude, Steve had us going in the right direction. I promise you Brady would not have looked near a good if would come in right after Canada left without Steve's help.

I never got that. I fricking loved Steele for the short time he was here and my post history from way back then proves it

It was clear that his scheme was good and the players were beginning to grasp it later in the season. Another year and he'd have had us a top 10 national defense easily.

Still nothing but respect for Steele. But frick Auburn.

Yeah. I trust O and will continue to trust O, at least until he loses his next football game.

I’m glad that Woodward is in place to vet whoever O hires also.

I trust O more then I trust Woodward.

The last thing we need is an AD who bends to the fans or Alumni pressure. Giving Jimbo that deal was almost criminal. Mark my words, in time he will hang us the same way. You bipolar cats will cheer him in the morning and chase him out with pitchforks by sunset. I want an AD who does his homework and trusts his gut. You will never make this board happy and there will always be a clown with too much of Daddy's money that thinks gets him a seat at the decision table. Tune them out and let you get yourself runoff.

Agree. Steele wasn't the problem at the end of 2015. It was, as usual, Les Miles's archaic offensive philosophy.

Steele’s tenure is getting reimagined

As much as people complain about Aranda

Steele had us ranked 41st in scoring defense the year before and after were top 5 scoring defenses.

Steele hasn’t had a top 10 defense at Auburn since 2016, and I think They’re about to fall off a cliff without Davidson and Brown dominating the LOS.

I agree, it's just fun to pontificate and go through the fan's process regardless.
