I'm thinking we'd be headed for a top 5 showdown this weekend with the folks from Tuscaloosa.

Superior to Ed? Absolutely. Sliced bread would be superior. Superior to the other candidates? No. With that being said we would probably be 7-1/6-2 right now

You are implying an overly simple view of HC role. The question is more what status would the program be in. Would we have seen the mis-management of roster like we have? The drastic fall from 2019? The questionable hires at oc/dc? Better player development?
Under mel tucker and many other candidates i believe we’d be much better off right now. Unclear if that means a too 5 matchup this weekend though
