Arkansas is already open (thank God), what other SEC head coaching positions open up?

- Does Moorhead bolt MSU?
- Does Ole Miss retain Luke?
- Does Gus try to get the jump on Auburn?
- Does Vandy get rid of Mason?

Rutgers would need to pay $2 million for Moorhead’s buyout from Mississippi State.

I would think State would be willing to negotiate that down considerably.

One MSU booster I know offered if they went back on the market they should take a chance on Joe Brady.

Moorhead's buyout is small enough to be paid (less than $4M I think).

I don't honestly know what we are going to do with Luke yet. I hope we don't keep him. A victory in the Egg Bowl may save his job, a loss likely gets him fired.

No chance Gus leaves this year. Team is fine and he still has a lot of guaranteed money.

Mason received a new contract in April of this year and his buyout is probably big enough to where they won't pay it.

Muschamp has a buyout of around $19M so he's not going anywhere.

Arkansas has already fired Morris and is in the hunt for a new coach.

Only other school I could see possibly having a vacancy is Kentucky if Stoops leaves for another job or shits the bed the rest of the season.

All other SEC jobs are pretty secure.

I doubt it. Moorhead was a career asst until he got the State job. They'd probably look for a proven lower tier HC.

I think Matt Luke is safe unless he gets embarrassed these last 2 games. Ole Myth is dealing with NCAA probation stigma. Not a great time to attract a new coach. And Luke has been serviceable. He probably needs to up his game on the defensive staff.

It’d only be if he leaves. He’s running a WR as QB because of the injuries there. Even if he missed a bowl, he won’t get fired over that because of the injury situation and folks who left for the NFL.

Why? It’s Vandy, you get one conference win and it’s a great year

Probation from NCAA is over. Probation of Fatt Luke himself still in place.

Two days ago I'd have emphatically agreed with you. But with yesterday's news breaking that our BoTs have already flown in both Brad Edwards and Chris Massaro and spoken with them about their interest in replacing Ray Tanner as AD (most expect it will happen in January), I'm not 100% certain Muschamp will be retained.

Odds are he will be thru next yr to give the new AD time to get his ducks in a row, but who knows. Whoever ends up the new AD may want to go ahead and rip the bandaid off.

There's a lot of ppl unhappy with the BoTs for flying candidates out to gauge their interest without Tanner being aware of it, but idgaf if Tanner's feelings got hurt about it. Get rid of his arse and the first domino necessary will have fallen to start the chain of events necessary to clean house and make some much needed changes.
