And a disciplinarian. He won't coddle the kids like Less. He'll hold them accountable.

he has bill callahan vol 2 written all over him
his offense was too complicated for pros to get in a couple years. i don't see how he can install his west coast offense in college, with the mental restrictions and only 4-5 years to have them learn it

Nothing to do with game plan or running a college program. Can he recruit? Can he deal with grade issues? Can he work with kids still developing physically and emotionally? Can he deal with rich backers always on his shoulder? These are the real questions.

The way he interacts with people. He will make a stellar college coach.

Can he keep his pecker out of the co-eds?

I don't think recruiting would be a problem for him.Do believe he would have some issues with his style unless he pegs it back a little. Also would go through assistants like Saban.2-3 years for most.I would certainly like to see him try as a college coach but i don't know if he is capable as far as his hardness towards players.kids these days don't go for that crap like they used to.

Will he have to take off time to star in the sequel of Bride of Chucky? Serious questions.

He would be able to recruit.
He has won in the NFL.
He is young.
He is good with QB's.
People like him.

I'm sure he'd adjust his system accordingly jake, he's not a moron.

Gruden drove Tampa in the dirt. He got fired for good reasons.

He also worked Al Davis and took that organization to within a game of the Superbowl. What have Raiders done since he left?

Word is that Miami has only 2.5 maybe 3 mil to pay a coach. Is that enough for Gruden?i say no.Already word that they are calling Randy Edsall and Kevin Sumlin. If true then they must realize that it's not enough to sign Gruden plus his staff, which will be expensive.

look at the talent he had to work with.

As someone who grew up in Tampa Bay...Miami can have him.
He took Dungy's team, won a Super Bowl, and then tore it apart.

i would agree, but that's why he got fired from the bucs
but hell, for all i know he decides to be a CEO-type coach and doesn't install his offense

when was the last time a college coach has had success by only coaching in the NFL? for some reason i am envisioning a charlie weis scenario where he has no idea how to run a college football program?

I completely agree. I don't understand how everyone thinks this guy is god's gift on this board.

He could go either way as a coach but he will def be a hit on recruiting trail.. The U is not like ND these high school kids still can remember them dominating.
If the reports prove true combined with the way Jimbo has recruited and won with the noles this year life just got tougher for coach Urban Meyer
