Riley- 1%
Jimbo- 1%
Tucker- 10% after ext
Aranda- 50%
Petersen- 0%
Meyer- 0%
Other 50%(napier)

everyone is gonan Dv this to hell. other than Jimbo, coaches leaving one equal program to anther is very very rare and jombo only left because FSU lacked the resources to spend correctly.

NOBODY LEAVES AN EQUAL PROGRAM THAT HAS EQUAL RESOURCES!!

just saying. cant name one, except maybe things like willie taggart or kiffin going to dream jobs.

with tuckers extension and him telling assitants to get comfortable.....yea he isnt leaving.

Comes down to Aranda. Will he stay and run the new big 12(smart play if the new playoff proposal is auto in for winner of that league), will he go home to southern cal or will he come here. 50/50 on that.

from there that leaves napier, cristobal, kiffin and franklin.

franklin is piece of shite and will not be considered, horrible at penn state since moorehead left(500 in conference).

Kiffin has never put together 2 good years in a row. he is a character and that is not what the admin wants.

cristobal stays with a raise after getting oregon in playoffs.

leaves napier by default.

so comes down aranda and napier.

would love to be wrong on riley or jimbo though, i just dont think it happens, not to mention timing has to work out.

I do think Riley/Jimbo are low odds, but not 1% low. Feels more like something around 20-30% for one of the marquee guys.

I think that's s pretty fair analysis.

One thing I will say about Oregon... that is a unique opportunity in the NIL days. Phil Knight (Nike) is sinking a ton of money into facilities and NIL.

As a coach, that would be hard to walk away from.

Aranda is my favorite candidate. Would be happy with Riley and Petersen. Would have the sads over Jimbo.

Did Aranda feel shafted for not getting the interim coach position? Did he leave on good terms?

besides jimbo...name the last time a sitting head coach of a top 6 historic school in any p5 conference left to go another voluntarily.

ill wait.

only ones i can think of

jimbo (fsu no support plus personal issues)
willie t(dream job)
Kiffin (dream job)

coaches dont leave P5 jobs for other p5 jobs. exceptions being lack of support or going to absolute dream job.

franlin wants to leave PSU for lack of support.

does riley get support from OU...yep, anything he wants essentially.

does jimbo get support....yep. only reason he might would leave is if LSU is his dream job. most would say FSU was his dream job. He was a bowden guy more than saban guy....he left there. I highly doubt with the way he is recruiting he is leaving.

in the end it comes down to aranda and napier imo. I hope it riley and jimbo and i have to come eat huge amounts of crow, just dont see it.

everyone says Woodward is going whale hunting....Jay Johnson wasnt...he was more in the aranda napier camp imo. I think thats the type of hire this ends up as too and im not sure aranda takes it.

There are 4 flying under the radar...

Cristobal, Campbell , Fickell , and possibly Rhule

Follow the lack of smoke, poopooing by "insiders" and Media, and it doesn't make any sense at all.

Why do you folks keep trying to force this guy into the conversation? He would be a horrible hire and doesn't want to coach anymore. Hell, his disdain for recruiting alone should strike him off the list from a job like LSU anyway.

History with Woodward, and a " know and comfort factor ".

Petersen may, or may not, want to leave the West. Seems to have a pretty cushy gig with FOX. I see Petersen at USC before LSU.

thats why i dont think he leaves Oregon.

personally i dont think petersen is coaching again and if he did it would be USC or Washington, sure as frick not the LSU pressure cooker. If you go back and look though, yea he had the great 2016 season, but then had 3/4/5 losses in next 3 seasons, not a good trend and he only had 1 season with less than 3 losses and only 1 with with 3 losses. rest had 4,5, or 6 losses. and he did all of that while USC and especially Oregon were down. taking him and urban off the list

my rankings would be

1) riley (dont think he leaves)
2) jimbo (i would have said no before this year. last and this year have made him a lot more palatable for me)

3) fickell- wont leave
4) cristobal (dont think he leaves)
5) aranda (my #1 on who i consider gettable)
6) campbell ( will say no)
7) napier
8) kiffin

comes down to aranda and napier imo

#40- James Franklin
