It seems like they would be the least desirable option for him unless there was a chance he could take over for Spurr after retirement.

I still don't get why South Carolina fans would want him to be the next head coach.

Beats me.

I feel SC can do better.

Isnt the South Carolina rivals site reporting Muschamp to USC to be the head coach in waiting? I certainly don't have a subscription to that site, but I have heard other peope say that is what they are reporting. No way would I want Muschamp to be the head coach at Auburn even if Malzahn left

I don't think so.

What happened is last night a reliable poster on USC's 247 site that goes to a bunch of the recruiting press conferences said that the deal was done. The reporters over there have said they can't confirm that a deal is done but there are positive signs and that if USC offers the HCIW then Boom is gonna come here

If he retained our offensive staff including Rhett Lashlee to be OC, I would have no problem whatsoever.

If the rate is 4 million, take him. I'll take my chances with Clark.

Oh please. Let him be the coach of another team we can't beat so we can turn something around.

That's a hefty price tag. I wonder how Auburn can afford to spend over 4x what they were on a coordinator when they are still paying buyouts from other coaches.

How many coaches buyouts are you paying right now?

This Muschamp hiring is fun for UGA fans. We get to watch either AU or USCe get pissed because they don't land him and then throw stats out like "Richt is 5-1 and averaging close to 30 ppg against Muschamp when he doesn't coach with Saban" to the team that does get him.

Don't know. What's that got to do with it?

You saying we don't have the money because of it? I typically defer to bama fans when it comes to auburn's operations so I'm asking.

I'm not sure I've seen anyone more overrated than muschamp since Clowney's last year at USCe.
