What is the timeline on when we start hearing better rumors?

I know we won’t know who we get till Dec-Jan, but do yall think LSU has already called people and made offers? Starting to get itchy and hasn’t even been a week.

I don't doubt at all that LSU started putting feelers out there before Sunday and it's probably been in high gear since Monday. We won't hear anything of any real substance probably for another three weeks, though. Even then 99% of it will be bullshite.

If LSU hires a coach before the end of the season it will mean they have officially been passed on by their top tier guys or they're announcing Saban coming back which isn't happening.
That means we're going to have to be patient. My guess is the time between the conference championship games and the playoffs will get pretty juicy.

There is no doubt we started the search committee this week and made a list. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few calls to agents were made.
Nothing will happen until the regular season is over at a minimum. Probably longer if the target is in the playoffs.

All of that has definitely happened.
They have reached out to Agents (mostly Sexton) to gauge interest and to see what a contract structure would look like if they were to pursue.

Its interesting on the timing. Early signing day is Dec. 3. Now NIL stuff will help this, but hopefully by then we have someone who has a back door deal done. We might not get the announcement if they are still in playoffs, etc. But the name might start leaking if they start passing on this name to recruits to get them to sign.
