an open records request by the Tulsa World discovered that Riley has a $4.6 million buyout if he leaves OU for any job, including the NFL, after the 2019 season. The buyout drops by $1 million every year thereafter until March 16, 2022, when OU will waive the buyout.

It took me 2 minutes to find this

I really can't understand why people say shite like this when they have no idea what they're talking about.

It actually went up a bit with his recent Raise/extension…it’s about $8m right now if he leaves for another job

Still much lower than the $20m that so many people get confused about for firing a coach without cause (which as we know is different than the buyout if a coach leaves for another job)

Lol i think Woodward is phenomenal at what he does and i think he’s done a fine job of keeping things air tight but, he can’t control leaks. There are two sides to this. This isn’t just Woodward and Riley speaking with nobody else involved. This will get out before the announcement is made, whomever the hire is, and there isn’t anything Woodward can do about it.

Every time our insiders have said "it's happening" or "it's close to being done" we've been burned. Every fricking time.

Mulkey and Johnson came out of nowhere. I expect the same for this coach. I don't believe it's Riley at all

With the way these things have gone in the past, I’d say it’s 50/50 at this point. Rumors are rumors and regardless how good the inside information is for TBL, things can take a massive turn in a matter of minutes. I’m cautiously optimistic, but I think I’d be happier overall if it fell through and we ended up with Aranda. Not sure why that is, but it’s just who I want to see as the head coach.

If this is Woodward’s top choice, I would give it 50/50. Reason for 50/50 is he wants to stay at OU but Woodward don’t strike out most of the time.

Either this goes one of two ways

1. You’re joking and half this board is so dumb to hit get it that it’s embarrassing or
2. You are serious and to dumb to know how wrong you are.

Woodward wouldn't let it leak like this.

Woodward is not omnipotent. He doesn't control the world.

I'm not saying it's true, but the "leak" is irrelevant to whether it's true or not.
