The transformation from step-son -> little brother -> daddy would be complete.
Kathleen and Raymond win in the end. Those people play the long game, I'm telling ya.

Oh please. Napier isn't turning us down, ever.

He isn’t turning us down because he will not be offered the job

Napier would crawl backwards on broken glass for the LSU job.

Why would a guy from ULL turn down the top job opening in the best conference in the country, SEC (and the best or second best job PERIOD in the SEC). Add to that all his connections in Louisiana for recruiting.
Napier would drop everything.
Napier would drop everything.

He won’t have an offer to accept, so moot point.

0% chance
He’s not suddenly a regular on Br sports talk radio for no reason, he’s actively campaigning for the job

Offer his $15 Million/year with 10 year guarantee of $150 Million.
Somebody will eventually take the job.

Maybe he'll turn us down like he did Auburn, USC, SC, and maybe 15 or so other schools.
Oh wait, none of that was true?

What if Napier is looking for you, but can't because he's searching for you on the Coaches Changing board.

This is much bigger than just a coaching change.

If only there was a board to discussion coaching changes

Napier, if offered by LSU will not turn down this job!!
He will get a salary at minimum double his $2m current UL salary, but that number will probably be at $5m annually. And it will be a 5 year deal, possibly with annual raises, but for sure will have a clause that if he wins a natty, then he will have a salary of the average of the top 5 paid coaches which would put him at around $8.5m

While I doubt he would turn the job down if offered. But Billy Napier is a different cat. He has certain goals he would like to achieve, he is 42 so he has tons of time.
IMHO I don’t think he is quite yet ready for a job like LSU. You don’t take such a high pressure job if you don’t have your system refined to a point that it’s exactly how you’d like it.
I also don’t believe he will be offered the job. But if he were, he would accept.
But every LSU fan is fooling themselves if you think Napier will coach there for 20 years. It doesn’t matter who the coach is, they aren’t lasting 10 years unless they win 3 Titles.

I'd say if we offer him, we're already in a tight spot. it means several other actually qualified candidates passed as well.
