Presumably, this is because you want to keep Miles?

Harbaugh and Family are sitting pretty. He has Stanford winning and wanting to ante-up in keeping him..fat chance longterm..he's too hot a commodity!

He has the Niner gig nearby, if wanting to stay in Bay area. And his alma-mater will offer him before they do Les Miles.

he has stated he enjoys coaching in college and he would like to stay at a school for a long time (like his Dad did).

which is certainly credible based on the history of other coaches making similar statements

Saban and Petrino both said it and made the leap.

San Fran would be wise to look at Harbaugh...

he wouldn't even need to move. He will certainly get a call.

i personally dont understand the harbaugh to the NFL thing. just b/c his brother is having success- who took a totally different route to NFL HC- everyone assumes jim will be successful too? seems like false logic esp when really good college coaches: saban and petrino had NFL backgrounds and completely tanked in the pros.

but i do think there is wayyy too much smoke around the harbaugh to the NFL for it to be truly nothing.

The fact that harbough played in the NFL for many years makes his situation much different than when Saban and petrino jumped IMHO.

I laugh at the people that want Miles to go to Michigan.

Alot of you act like good coaches would just drop what they're doing and make the switch to LSU.

With the slim pickings for a new head coach out there this year, it would be beyond stupid to hope Miles left for Michigan. LSU would be in a bind.

But you morons keep hoping he makes the jump. It would set the program back another 3 years.
