What do you guys know about Todd Graham

Seems like his name is being thrown into the mix if Miles leaves for Michigan,

I know everyone has sources these days, but his name seems to come out of the left field - a little bit like Miles when he was hired initially.

This is funny...I was in high school (Allen High School, Allen, TX) when he was our football coach. He left after my senior year (2000). He's had quite the meteoric rise...
He is a very, very good head coach. Ironically, he has a defensive background, but his teams typically suck at defense. His teams typically have great offenses, though.
He has a ton of contacts in Texas for recruiting and is a pretty good recruiter.
But I think he isn't ready for an LSU type of job. He would be better suited to go to Pitts or Stanford.

Pros: Great recruiter..always seems to have high powered offenses (lets OCs do their jobs)...players coach...big time contacts in Texas....worked in the Big East back when the Big East was much better..
Cons: Is supposedly a defensive coach, but his teams stink at defense...has a huge ego (who he turn the D over to someone else?)...lack of head coaching experience at a high level...knows nothing about the SEC or coaching in the SEC.

The OC that just went to Clemson is the guy I wouldn't have minded seeing at LSU next year.

Yeah..that's the thing with Graham..he surrounds himself with great OCs. He worked for Rich Rod at WVU and he knows a good sound offensive philosophy.

Attended one of Graham's Tulsa team camps once. Graham has the ability to put together a great group of coaches. Idk how much direct success his offense would have had if not for Gus Malzahn. When Gus left he promoted somebody from within that learned under Malzahn. I think LSU could do a lot better then Graham as the HC.

Personally, I don't care for the guy. We were at their place in '08 and down 21 points with 15 seconds left in the game. Tulsa gets down to our 3 yd. line. He calls time out, huddles his offense and then punches in another td with nine seconds left. Left a very bad taste in my mouth concerning his sportsmanship.

I think he meant on the offensive side of the ball. His defenses at Rice and Tulsa haven't been very good. Hell, when he was DC at WVU they weren't all that good.

Yes and Todd Graham's first year as Head Coach of Tulsa was 2007, and his OC that year was Malzahn... and after Malzahn they used the same philosophy as I previously stated...dude.

You nailed it. We are on here guessing...if we have a new coach it's prob gonna be one where we are like WHAT?!??
