Better? Maybe. Runs circles around? That’s laughable. It’s not a bad town, it’s just been highly overrated by Mississippi people. But I guess that’s understandable considering there is very little to be excited about in Mississippi.
The proximity to much better cities that are way better than anything Mississippi has to offer make both a better place IMO.

Everyone says this as if everyone lives in the same area of Baton Rouge. Being rich and living somewhere is entirely different. They can literally live anywhere comfortably because they can afford it. It's not like Lane is going to be living in the shitty part of town, just like he wouldn't live in the shitty part of town anywhere he coaches.
