What are you expectations for a new coach?

Let's say Miles was fired today, and Del Rio or Patterson hired tomorrow. What results next year would satisfy you? I'm guess I'm asking to find out what prospective coaches may have to deal with if they take the job, and also what many on here thing of the "state of the program" right now with the exception of the coaching staff(current players, recruits coming in, etc.)
To answer my own question, I'd expect to see a team play 60 minutes of disciplined football, with a dramatic reduction in penalties and dumbass mistakes. I'd expect to see our offensive skill players utilized to their best, and not rot away on the bench. I'd expect to see a team be able to execute a competent 2 minute drill at the half/end of game. As far as record goes, I don't have a real number in mind, but I have a feeling if the other things I mentioned are fixed, the record will turn out just fine.

basically, a complete reverse of what's going on now.

when we lose i'd like it to be because the other team was more talented not because we were just sloppier

I can't disagree with with any expectations listed so far.

I'd like to not lose to teams that don't even have players that we would recruit.
I'd like to control the los and dominate the stats against the likes of LA TECH.
I'd like a qb that could run the 1-minute offense as well as WEST MONROE High's QB.
This is just a start.

Was there. In grad school for Hallman years, undergrad during Hodson era.
Nine wins is not the issue. Got to go to lunch but will expound later.
Did you get my email on the OLOL Foundation and Children's Hospital?

Just to be clear, I was joking.

I agree with all that has been said in here thus far.
this is basically the point rantards continue to miss when they yell about his overall record currently.
Its HOW we're winning and losing games and the overall direction of the program.

I would look at the play and not the results. You saw this with Saban's first teams when he got here. Not a lot of penalties or dumb mistakes, more so dumb mistakes.

I agree with all of the above...
I would like to add the head coach has to act like a head coach. Tell it like it is and don't dance around shite saying that you would have liked to see your team do this, or your coaches do that. Man up and make the shite happen! Get pissed off! Bench guys for being shite on the field or making stupid plays/penalties! Chew somebody's arse out for once...

I'd like to see a coach play the best player at each position based on his skill level and not seniority.

When just about every game for 20+ games leaves you with the feeling that LSU got lucky to beat a weakass OOC team, or that LSU played "close" against a good team resulting in some type of moral victory, a larger picture begins to develop.
The sooner LSU hires Gary Patterson, the sooner LSU will regain competency.

The only positive in keeping Les is that the incoming coach will know for a fact that the AD won't fire him when the going gets tough.
Firing a head coach two years removed from a national championship isn't very inviting.
