Napier isn’t good enough for LSU, but he’s good enough for a top 10 job at a conference rival? Unless Woodward pulls a unicorn out of his arse, this looks pretty bad at the moment….even worse considering the 6 week head start he had on the competition.

Because Florida really has a history of hiring the right guy?

I mean Muschamp, Meclwain, Zook, Mullen were all good enough for this top 10 program. How did they do

They do keep hiring bad coaches.

They’ve fired their last 3 and are they are 86-40 since CUM left.

Maybe they’re not the measuring stick of a good coaching hire.

I’ll be damned if I’m giving Florida the benefit of the doubt. They are betting on LSU to do such a terrible job that Napier will provide inroads to talent. That’s automatic based off the hire we put Woodward in to make? bullshite.

Woodward has his guy. You, I, nor ESPN doesn’t need to understand his reasoning. Have faith. If it’s a garbage coach, remember the last 3 coaches have won a Natty. 2 of them are not “great” coaches.

The truth is that most coaching hires do not end up working out. Bama before Saban went through several coaches. Same with Georgia before Richt and Kirby, Tennessee, Arky, USC and any number of schools. On paper, it looks like UF made a quality hire that could potentially be great. I’ll take potential greatness over a known commodity like stoops, etc. Understand others will disagree.
