what was the result the last time Charlie Weis faced an SEC defense? LSU vs ND?

Weis is a good X/O's guy, but an arse. We already know the players run G'ville. Should be interesting.

Yeah, those SEC defenses are better than the NFL defenses he's schemed against for the last 15 years.
That ND team was overrated as hell, and there was only 1 NFL player on that team - Quinn - and he's going to be out of the NFL in a few years.

Holy shite, I thought TD.com posters were uneducated. Try reading the comments after the story. Wow!

I can't figure out why this move is being made. He is the OC of a division winning team in the NFL, one week before starting a playoff run. I could see it if it were a head coacing job somewhere like UF, LSU, Texas, USC, but not OC position.
Does he stay with KC through the playoffs or jump ship now?

Stays with KC during playoff run, which may only be one week. A few articles that I've read hint at he and Haley not getting along and Muschamp offering him total control on the offensive side of the ball. Also, his daughter has autism, and some are stating that Weis wants his family in a laid back place and in a laid back environment for a few years.

also he will work with his son.

pressure in the sec isn't anything compared to the nfl.

Agreed. But it is also nowhere near "laid back".

The point is Gainesville is a small city.

Great for us IMO. Muschamp will have Urbs sticking around, now a guy who has NFL skins and was a head coach. Too many big heads in the room. I think they take a while to get that under control.

true but it's not 365 days a year like the nfl. There are dead periods that he can spend with his fam.

No. Urban Meyer will be "around", but not involved. There's a huge difference in the two. You act like Weis, Muschamp, and Meyer will all be game planning or coaching on the same sideline together. Far from the truth.

Great hire for the Gators.

He didn't have the speed on his team that he'll have at UF.
