We just can’t get an Elite Coach

It really wouldnt be anything worth being sad about, very few schools have ever pulled elite coaches from other power 5 jobs

P5 coaches from top tier programs don’t move to other p5 programs without being a rift with the administration. The good coaches that other p5 programs have didn’t come through that way. Riley was never realistic.

Because we're LSU and we are in a recruiting hot bed and we can throw money at you. Plus we have boosters and a rabid fan base that will eat you alive if you lose two games in a year and you are not playing for a national championship within 3 years after depleting your roster and coaching staff after winning the last one.

You're right. Orgeron got a raw deal from LSU. And I'm sure some other program with national title hopes will hire him today....said no one ever.

Y'all too fixated with this name bullshite. Go get a damn good coach. Nick Saban wasn't Nick when we hired him. Kirby Smart was a meh hire at Georgia. Dabo Wasn't elite when Clemson hired him. We shoul be trying to get Napier or Aranda
