It's hard to judge at Baylor, but the last time I checked, I believe he had them in the 30s nationally.

What would that data look like? It’d have to be like a running average of composite player rankings compared to the times he wasn’t there….even then you have some cross contamination

Getting a 4 star at Baylor is more impressive than a 5star at LSU

Without looking, I’d say his classes weren’t great. He was at Temple and a devastated Baylor program.

He is a solid recruiter if you compare him to what Aranda has done with recruiting. Aranda is considered an average to below average recruiter and he has Baylor in 40s 50s range. During Rhules time he had them in the 30s range and late 20s. He could pull a top 10 class at LSU consistent.

Id say LSU is probably a Top 5 school in the area of just recruiting itself no matter whos at the helm...

So hopefully he'll be fine.
May not be a Saban or Ryan Day elite recruiter....but solid enough. I hope anyways. Tough to say

He took over a class that had 1 commitment when he was hired in December of 2016

Finished number 40th. Yes he can recruit.

When he took over Baylor, they had literally 1 commitment. 1.

Top 10 is a given imo. Would hope to see top 5 or 6 annually.

Aranda has Baylor at 34. That's probably somewhat of a ceiling at Baylor.

He convinced Moms and Dads to send their kids to Baylor after the rape scandal. He must be ok at recruiting.

But his success at Baylor was because of player development more then recruiting. Imagine a coach that could get Louisiana talent and develop them up.
