Was CCB this manic during the Herman fiasco?

I get the excitement as we had to settle last time around and it seems like we’re close to landing a legit top-tier coach. But shite, y’all, the board is blowing up tonight over almost nothing new being substantiated. And what appears to be corroboration, such as the alleged OU team meeting tonight, is probably the tail wagging the dog from this board and random “insiders” who source and tweet content from it.
I’m afraid it’s a 50/50 until it’s signed, regardless of how bad we want it to be locked up right now.
And 50/50 is a great position to be in for a hire if this magnitude!

It was as hectic.
But the energy was never focused into one candidate with this much smoke.
We knew Herman and Jimbo were in play but it never reached such a breaking point like how it is now.

I knew after the ESPN announcement followed by Mark May going on a rant at halftime, Herman was not happening. Felt like a huge ESPN troll job and money play by Herman. Like Sexton was using us and leaked shite to ESPN. I got off the board.

Me and my manberries are positive. I think we’re in a reasonably good spot. But nothings’ real until it’s real, bruh. “Faith” over stuff like this is sometimes a mask for desperation and fear. ;)
