Harsin and Neal Brown are back ups after that.
Dan Quinn also in there.
Update:
Pete Thamel

Sources: Cross Clemson DC Brent Venables off the list at Auburn. He's told Clemson officials that he's staying.

Curious why Matt Campbell hasn’t been mentioned.

i'd imagine he'd give them a big fat no.

Because he has never coached anywhere in the south. He grew up in Ohio and has always coached up north. You can get great classes at Auburn but it doesn't recruit itself. He is coaching up three stars at Iowa State but coaching up three stars at Auburn means you're a perrenial annoyance to one or two teams, not a threat.
He isnt leaving the Midwest with a big contract to come grind in the SEC and lose five games a year. Would kill his stock.

His kids are still on the team at Clemson and they're primed for another dominant run with that new QB.
And he can get a better job one day I think.

I think Dan Quinn would be a sneaky good hire

I always thought Kiffin was the perfect combination of sliminess and arrogance to fit at Auburn. Auburn should do it just to see him troll Saban.

Where did Saban coach in the south before LSU hired him?
How about Urban Meyer?
Did Les Miles coach in the south before coming to the SEC?
All these guys won championships and had top recruiting classes every year.

Auburn is a unique job that seems to come with a lot of pain in the arse.
On the one hand it is a power player in a power conf. They will pay. They want to win...big. They have great support. You can win big there. National championship in 2010. Played for another in 2013. Probably should have been a playoff team in 2017 (unfortunately, they had to play a rematch in the SECCG against a team they already beat while Bama, who they also beat, got to sit at home).
On the other hand they are "second fiddle" in their own state to the most consistently dominant program in college football right now. A program that their supporters absolutely hate with an irrational passion. For all of the teams in the SEC Alabama is the benchmark they must pass. But only ONE has to live in the same state at Alabama 365 days a year.
It's a ton of pressure and (maybe) unreasonable expectations. Just winning isn't good enough. You MUST beat Alabama. And you must do so despite sharing the state with them for talent and fighting in the same recruiting footprint (Alabama, Florida, Georgia)
All of the coaches they are looking at have good situations. They are probably saying the level of expectations vs. what is reasonably possible are too unrealistic for me to leave my good situation at this time.

Three examples. One of them is the greatest ever and the other is not far behind. Miles benefitted from a foundation from example one.
Why leave Iowa State making like 4 million in an area of the country you know ? He can just wait it out for Michigan or Ohio State.

This is all a re-creation of the 2017/2018 UT job search.
Will result in a new AD and Steele in the end.

Agreed. Coach Bro doesn't work long-term in the NFL, but that schtick could be tailor made for the college ranks.
I don't know what he did when he was at UF as DC, but I'd imagine he was a solid recruiter.

Neither had Saban, Meyer, or Miles. Such a stupid take.

James Franklin did very well at Vanderbilt, but there really aren't many other examples that come to mind. The only failure I can think of right now is Joe Moorehead.
I'm just not sure why "having coached in the south" is a prerequisite in your mind.

His soft zone defense would get torn to shreds by elite college passing games.

And now he’s turned them down too.
