They are considered in coaching searches. Why you think Orgeron was hired and why Kiffin has no traction? CUM and Freeze have no traction either both good/great coaches. Politics are always involved in LSU internal searches.

Agree. But his recent issue with the co-Ed and the prior domestic abuse issues with his assistant Zack Smith that he potentially knew about won’t play well with the Title IX issues. And with the 31 player arrests while at UF , he doesn’t exactly seem to run a clean program. Not what the admins want. Can’t dispute his success however.

Each time he’s cited medical issues has been after he won at least one NC.
