Update on the coaching search: The next HC will not be Jimbo Fisher.

The latest news I have gotten is that the coaching search is at a stand still. Woodward has given Riley a timetable to accept his offer which I mentioned in this thread. LINK /
Riley has not reached back out since.
As far as Jimbo I haven’t heard anything about him being in the mix. Now Vol Tiger is a good source and should be trusted, i have read his posts, but I have heard different. Woodward has his top 4 which I have mentioned on here. And Jimbo is not one of them. If Woodward is gonna pay someone big time money it’s going to his 1 and 2 on the list.
And those wondering, Woodward has talked to Lane Kiffin and his agent lately. And he is out of the equation.
That’s all I got for now.

I said later that Dabo is number 2 from what the source is telling me. He said he could be wrong but what he does know is the fall back option is a big time name if Riley falls through.

If that’s true, which I doubt, then it’s done. And makes sense there was a concerted effort to push the Jimbo chatter at the end of last week.

Aranda likes where he is. Feels like he is in a place to build something apparently. Woodward feels that to get Aranda to comeback he would have to pay big time top 3 coach money, and he doesn’t think Aranda is there just yet.

The dam must be full and the leaks are about to break the dam. All the INSIDERS are suddenly discounting Jimbo. It's still Jimbo, but I'm willing to play the keep it on the down low game.
Now that USC, UF, TCU are also open, you will see LSU's targets getting locked in elsewhere, and wonder what the hell is going on. That will tell you all you need to know.

I do not know if Riley is the guy but he was in. That is from a brother who works in the athletics offices who met Riley.
