For every Chris Petersen coming out of the g5 there’s a Scott Frost, Tom Herman, Justin Fuente, Mike Norvell, and a Neal Brown.

I mean you left of Urban Meyer, Mario Cristóbal, Matt Campbell and others.

those 5 names, only two have categorically failed and only has been fired.
Neal Brown and Norbert are too early to call, and Herman was a good coach with decent results and good wins who just rubbed the administration at Texas the wrong way
none of them have been truly successful.

There are people om this board who would rather Napier than Riley. Who is 58-9 in p5. That's ridiculous

Urban Meyer is obviously one of the big successes. Campbell is solid, but made the kind of leap (MAC to a lower-tier P5 program) that you would expect. Despite their disappointing season this year, he has definitely outperformed the field.

Christobal was a position coach at Bama and Oregon for 4 years before getting the big promotion. That FIU stint isn’t what got him his job. That’s like saying Kiffin was a G5 promotion like Frost, Fuente and Napier when he had been a head coach at 2 P5 schools and in the NFL first.

The fact that he's hardballing negotiations while the coach at ull is why he's " turned down" all those jobs.

I don't think he's as good as he thinks he is.

Florida fans love passing the rock so their solution is to hire a guy who averages 200 passing yards a game in the sun belt while LSU gets Lincoln Riley? It makes no sense

Florida rushed this. They could do better.

Who exactly? What established coach is going to take a risk going to Florida?

Got fired by Dabo right before Chad Morris (who hasn’t set the world on fire as a HC) turned Clemson’s offense around.

He got fired for punching Dabo in the face.

He's getting hired because in his 4 seasons at ULL he's had their 4 best seasons of all time. In addition to that, he has a track record of recruiting 5* athletes, especially out of Florida

Since Urban, it’s been a dumpster fire for two straight coaches. It’s a risky move walking into an environment that hasn’t been able to get their act together for over a decade.

Buy out numbers? That's ridiculous.

But the Florida fans say we’re gonna get stuck with Mark Stoops

Stoops would be a much better hire than Napier

That's on the coaches. UF has everything needed as a program to win big.
