Briles first year as OC in '15 Baylor was # 1 in both total and scoring offense. 48 pplg and over 600 ypg. Nominated for Broyles Award.

In '16 ( when shite hit the fan at Baylor) they were 34th in scoring and 8th in total offense. 34 ppg and just under 500 ypg

Then 9th and 8th in scoring and total at FAU in '17.

He's very good.

Guess I wasn’t clear the first time.

Why is thread so long when random poster says this and what does the Sugar Bowl committee have to do with a future LSU OC that works in Miami?

You guys are so desperate at this point, you’ll believe anything. If this were any other day that wasn’t after a loss, this thread would have been deleted and every one and their mother would be calling for this guys head.

The lawsuit alleges Kendal Briles, former Baylor assistant coach, encouraged these actions and onced asked a Dallas potential recruit: "Do you like white women? Because we have a lot of them at Baylor and they love football players."

If that’s the worst he said then sign me up. That type of thing is told to every recruit. Saying that white girls like football players is not encouraging rape.

Can’t argue that. And I’m not even anti-Canada. Have just accepted that he’s gotta be out

Laman, so what exactly did you hear? That Briles is headed to LSU or there is mutual interest between LSU and Briles?
It was very vague. I read the title of this thread and immediately thought, "This is BS". I was told Canada was staying like two weeks ago. So I contacted my buddy to see what was going on and asked about Briles. He just answered, "There is interest". I assumed he meant interest from LSU's standpoint, because I figured he wouldn't know what Briles was thinking. I then stated, "I thought you said Canada was staying". He answered, "He may stay. I don't know exactly what's going on. It's not my job to know. Another coach is probably a contingency plan at this point".

Not taking anything away from K Briles because I think he will be a great option as offensive coordinator... But don’t you think Baylor would have had the same offensive production those 2 years without K Briles? Same with FAU? A Briles was the creator of that offense in ‘15 & ‘16 and Kiffen was that at FAU. Take K Briles away from both and I think the rankings and production are the same. But I will gladly take him at LSU!

This would be huge but we would probably need atleast a year to adjust to such a significant change on offense. There would be bumps, but I’m on board, we need this desperately

From what I'm reading it's an easy offense to learn.

I agree we all are desperate to change the direction things are going. I thought Canada wasn't as bad as some make him out to be and figured next season should be better, yet so much smoke I agree seems he has to be gone, just hope this is true and we don't promote a yes man

Even if all that were true, we would still be getting the same offense with Briles.

I'm just passing along the information. I don't know the truth. I've never claimed to know. You can check my post history. The only time I've ever had "sauces" is my current buddy that only knows what he needs to know to do his job and Gary Crowton. I knew him personally from his time at Tech and LSU both, but he never told me anything. I could see on his face that Miles was screwing with his offense though. LOL
