It wasn't half empty. There was a long thread about this yesterday.
It looked bad on TV. With the press box where it is, you mostly see the visitor section that was mostly empty. You don't see the upper deck that was very full. Also, a lot of people sit on the grass berm in one endzone and so they aren't in their seats.
The attendance was over 31K, a Sun Belt championship record.

From what I’ve been told, yes. The NYG fired the HC and Sale is Napier’s #1 guy.
Sale had an informal interview with Maggard. He stated that he didn’t want to be a HC. But during the interview process told Maggard that “the next guy” was already on staff.
Napier and Sale both recommended Desormeaux for the job.

A couple of weeks back, I heard he’d go with Napier but haven’t heard anything lately. I’m sure he’d want to be the OC if he stays here but I’m not sure he’s the right fit.

I know for a fact the OC at Houston would have seriously thought about taking the job because I spoke to him early last week. He told me he was interested and that ULL didn’t even contact him. Would have been a much better hire than this. This is a typical Lafayette hire no doubt.
