Smart move. The offense was unwatchable this year.
This is the first staff change at Tulane since Fritz arrived

I know he’s worked with Fritz before so it’s certainly possible. Whoever it is I’d expect more passing. They did just add a big WR transfer

I don’t see it happening but there’s talk that maybe Shaun King could get the job

Do they still run that zone blocking/triple option attack?

I hope they get rid of that offense.

As an outsider I think it works and the proof is in that every year they have improved, Fritz is a winner.

Ohh yeah Fritz is a very good coach.
I could see him building Tulane into an 8 win team, which for Tulane is pretty good.

Tulane has pretty much abandoned that, but they still run some read option.

The offense was basically running the ball up the middle, throwing quick outs and crossing patterns. It was predictable and anyone prepared to stop the run shut us down.

its official

quote:

Memphis associate head coach/tight ends coach Will Hall will leave Mike Norvell's staff and become Tulane's next offensive coordinator.

Norvell confirmed the departure Tuesday.

Hall spent one season at Memphis after he was hired in January. In addition to being known as an excellent recruiter in both Mississippi and Alabama, he emphasized in the spring that he wanted Memphis' tight ends to become better blockers.

Hall also has past experience as an offensive coordinator. In 2017, he was the offensive coordinator at Louisiana-Lafayette, where he had the third-best rushing offense in the Sun Belt Conference.

Hall also served as the offensive coordinator at West Alabama from 2008-10 before he became West Alabama's head coach from 2011-13. He also served as West Georgia's head coach from 2014-16.

Great hire for Tulane. Will Hall was one of the only bright-spots towards the end of the Hudspeth era.
