Not surprised by this move. Tuberville already tried it last year with Willis. He would probably still be there if he didn't slap his wife around. Might as well try some of the other faces from his posse.

Better team probably, not sure why you're saying he had more success. Eugene is 29-10 his first 3 years here, tubs was 24-15.

you're right, he didn't have a once in a generation guy but he did have 4 first rounders and 21 guys starting to go on to NFL rosters.
that 04 roster under any coach willing to hang points on people would have averaged 65-7 wins.
