Outside of allowing his coaches to coach, what has he really learned?

That is not common at all with anti O guys. We wanted anybody else. Big difference.

It wasn't a good hire for LSU. I don't blame O, hell, of course he would accept the job. I put it all on Alleva. Nothing in O's resume makes him qualified for a job like LSU.

keep telling yourself that.

This is one of the dumber narratives out there, that people take favorites and root against the guy that got the job since my guy didn't. I'm not optimistic because I've seen his record. Just as past success is no guarantee, so to is past failure. I do not expect Coach O to go 10-25 at LSU. He's 11-4 since then. That translates to 8.8 wins. I wasn't really looking to fire Les Miles so we can go 9-3, 8-4 with a likable coon arse.

no one of the dumber narratives out there is that we didn't conduct a coaching search. Nobody knows what happened over the last few months. They don't know if agents contacted LSU (most likely they did and would have to show interest for their client) People truly believe we did nothing and I am sorry you can cry about the hire but there is no way they weren't in contact with more coaches than Jimbo and Herman.

I will tell you this time next season.

Coach O coached in 7 games and was 5-2

The Offense set multiple records once he was the coach.

We lost to the best team in the country. (They have won 20+ in a row)

Should have beaten Florida

We will get to see in about a month what he can do with about a month to prepare for an opponent when we play Louisville.

Including you

However, this narrative you speak of has evidence to support it while your guess does not.

Evidence of contacting others:

I have not seen any evidence that LSU conducted a proper coaching search. I have seen no evidence that LSU did contacted anyone besides Herman and Fisher.

Evidence for not contacting anyone else:

There is evidence of LSU contacting Herman and Fisher. WHy would there be evidence of contacting those two, but none of the others you think LSU contacted?

We either didn't conduct a search or Alleva fricking sucks at negotiation and/or selling how good of a job LSU is. Either way, we landed on a career DL coach - seriously. Do you REALLY think that's the best LSU can do? If so, you have a pretty shitty image of LSU and the quality of a job it is.

can't say that i have, but regardless, I NEVER said that, so I don't care. You however did state the nonsense about people being against O since "my" guy didn't get hired.

I'll root for the team and hope he does well. I rooted for LSU when Curley Hallman was the coach. But if it goes like I'm afraid it will, i reserve the right to be savagely critical.

I have nothing personal against Coach O, but hiring him will hurt LSU in the long run.

you're damn right I did and its the truth. Some are still crying b/c we didn't get in a bidding war with Texas b/c they think we could have gotten their guy

I have never once said that. I am still happy we got rid of miles. I thought he has ehld back this team for years. I really think its easy to win here and coach O will support my claim.
