I would think we would trust a head coach who has learned from his mistakes, made changes when something wasn't working, led LSU to an undefeated season, Heisman Trophy winner, a freaking national championship, and the best LSU football team I have ever seen play.

I wasn't all that thrilled when we went with O as the head coach, and I wasn't sold on Brady last season. I will be the first to admit that.

But not only has O met expectations, he exceeded them--thoroughly. He knows what it takes to build a winning program and is well loved and respected in coaching circles around the country.

He will make a good hire, and if the hire doesn't work out, he will find someone who does.

Now lets all enjoy being undefeated national champions with our second Heisman winner and record setting football team

can't point that out though. you'll be accused of being "miserable" or "melting".

On the other hand, you could trust the man that earned it by bringing a NC to LSU through the decisions and hires that he made. I could see being skeptical before this year but he made the changes he needed to and won it all in overwhelming fashion. Why should we not trust him at this point?

This thread is the bat signal for those who didn’t like the O hire to begin with, shite on him for 2 years, then have been skeptical up to this point, 10 days removed from a championship.

He doesn't seem that worked up to me

IMO, the people getting worked up are the ones who want to know what's going on now, and question LSU's staff without even having any information available.

The ones who are not getting worked up are the ones who are basically sitting back saying just wait and see how it shakes out.

So, just wait and see how it shakes out. If you're not giving Orgeron the benefit of the doubt at this point, it's only because you're looking for drama.

The OP asks, "Trust Orgeron?" Sure, why not?

What is the alternative?

You don't blindly trust him. What now?

I don't know

What would I do if I did blindly trust him? None of this requires action from any of us

I don't even know what to say.

If we can't trust a natty winning head coach, who can we trust? Geez.

At least wait and see who gets hired before melting down.

O deserves 110% credit for this season. Every accolade he could receive, he deserves.

Next challenge, can he sustain it?

After '07, Les was on top of the world. But he made an unwise DC decision that would ultimately be a major factor in his demise.

The irony would be it was Pelini leaving that hurt Les, I hope should Pelini return that it won't hurt O.
