Trying to get more in roads to Louisiana talent. Lamar Brown posted a comment basically supporting the hire as well. They already have that dline coach Henderson that went to Edna Karr HS as well.

Would think USC could do way better than that resume.

Played with him in hs, good dude on and off the field. Surprised he got that gig this early in his coaching career, hope he does well.

The correct answer. Only issue is that he might not make it to December.

He is kinda a rising star according to some.

Had 2 corners invited to the senior bowl and a freshman that played well and was a 2 time pff player of the week.

Great recruiter. I would actually like the hire if I was a usc fan. You have d'anton Lynn there anyway. Great coach with a db background.

Lured to Auburn along with Greg Robinson by a 3 job working “mentor” that could somehow afford multiple recruiting trips to Auburn, season tickets and seats at the national title game.

I had no idea he finished his career as a cornerback at Auburn

He was a smooth receiver in high school. I wanted him bad at LSU

He got close with an assistant coach from Auburn after his mom passed. Was like family to him and was always around. WR/asst coach Trooper Taylor I think? I don't remember who was recruiting him from LSU at the time.
But I can see how that made an impact in his decision.
He was definitely a player that could single handedly change a game. Dug the team out of a 0-22 deficit at half against St. Paul in the playoffs. Getting snaps at qb and just outrunning everyone.
Don't know Greg's motivation for going to Auburn besides following Trovon there, and/or getting a bag.

being a south Louisiana Auburn guy myself I was very excited when Auburn got T Reed. Based on how he was in high school I was really thinking he was going to come on the scene big time at Auburn and be an explosive offensive weapon. For whatever reason it just didn't pan out that way for him and he never really had any success on the offensive side of the ball.
