According to one of his GA's from Delta State, yes he wants to be a head coach.

I get the "he has no HC experience", "not the strongest recruiter" comments, I really do, but (to me) it just comes down to this comment and others like it.

If he's going to be someone's stud HC, frick it, let's make him OUR rock star. He's smart enough to know what he's good at and what he's not; what's to say he wouldn't go to some stud OC, hand him the keys, and tell him, "have at it".

I think the better question is has he ever said that he doesn't want to be a HC?

I think it's reasonable to assume that most young coordinators aspire to have their own programs.

I think there are obvious maturity reasons for why Kiffin has failed as a head coach. Being a head coach is about not only talent but also vision and leadership. I think Kiffin is talented but lacks the maturity to use his vision and develop his leadership.

No one you can realistically hire is certain to succeed at LSU. But what you can do is hire a guy who shows a lot of ability. A special coach who rapidly moves up the college ranks also will not likely be available if you pass on him once.

I am fine with someone who wants Fisher instead of Aranda because he's shown he can build a program to the level of a national championship. I'm also fine with someone who prefers a specific coach who has lead their program to multiple ten win seasons and BCS bowls. But I would take Aranda before anyone without those credentials because I think he might be that special. And all you can try to do when you hire someone is hire someone who might be that special.

my sentiments exactly.. I have a way better feeling he would be the next saban before Muschamp/Kirby or any of those guys.. He seems to be more like a Bill Belichick type guy..
