Sterling Gilbert may be looking for a job this offseason. Hell, if Herman gets the Texas job, Major Applewhite isn't going back with him. There are two really good young up and comers, but like Aranda, these two will probably getting HC jobs sooner than later.

The 2 coordinators from Miles first staff at LSU became HC's, I'm guessing there are a lot more than 3 examples of coordinators that did.

There seemed to be some circumstantial evidence that some people heard the whispers of abuse and veered away from hiring Sandusky as a head coach.
RE: the OP question? We don't have to waste time wondering. I think the terms of his contract make it clear Aranda has a strong interest.
