They will hire an assistant again. The last HC was a disaster. The last 4 Asst level guys they have hired have been successes.

I think McElwain is their top choice. Personally, I'd prefer Tressel, Patterson, Richt, or RichRod, with Frost in distant 5th. You have a lot of names missing from that list.

If he were to take an assistant job anywhere it would be at a traditional powerhouse like Nebraska there is prestige and obviously they could pay him.

Honestly I wouldn't mind seeing Osborne back as HC with Frost as his replacement-in-training. Bill Snyder came back at K-State; why not Osborne?
