I think the true list of candidates that ultimately emerges will be underwhelming as the football landscape has changed so significantly since Nebraska was last relevant.

I definitely don't want Jerry Kill, due to his health problems. Wouldn't want Paul Chryst, either. I'd be happy with any of the others on that list.

What I don't understand is why folks think that MU is on the level with Nebraska. I always thought that the Huskers had the money to spend on their program. MU never has. I may be old on the job of paying attention. Someone clue me in.

Nebraska is far and away a better program. The only reason anyone would think that MU is superior is because they are in the SEC.

Nebraska is not nearly the high profile job it was under Osborn. They do not have the in state talent and have to rely recruiting nationally, but they haven't been relevant in a long time. Last time they finished the season ranked in the top ten (AP) was 2001. Most kids don't even know Nebraska was a powerhouse at one time.

I think they will have a hard time finding a top level coach.

If it did, I would think you would have gotten somebody better than callahan and bo.

Bo was a hot commodity at the time of his hire. He also had been Nebraska's DC so he had Nebraska ties.

As for Callahan, see Steve Pederson. When he fired Solich he didn't have a plan in place. He thought Nutt was coming, and when he didn't, he had to find someone else and quick, and he settled for Callahan. There's a reason why Pederson isn't at Nebraska anymore.

Who cares they are about to become Tennessee, idiots. I hate that prick tom Osborn and how he handled the Lawrance Phillips bs

Osborne has already gone on record stating that he made a mistake in bringing back Phillips. Really not much different than how Les Miles has handled numerous off-the-field incidents.

Doesn't matter, they would've won the NC without Phillips anyway.
