This feels like the right play for us. The world saw that game.

Texas might be able to outbid us. They might be where his family wants to be. Might.

But LSU represents one of the best jobs in the land. Amazing recruits. Amazing atmosphere. Quality opponents to test his self against. And he can pretty much write his ticket to the NFL...you know, 10 years down the line once he's won like four nat'l championships.

Of all the people on the entire site who are full of shite (and there are plenty) I find you to be full of the most shite. You have no backing to say that. You might be right, but you're just completely guessing.

I would be extremely disappointed if we didn't get Herman.

He better pay attention to what's going on with Strong at Texas. Charlie Starong was handed a dumpster fire at Texas and has done his very best to recover from that period. He's only been there 3 years he still hasn't even been able to have a full recruiting cycle. He's beaten 2 top 10 teams this year and they want to throw him overboard. Truly sad situation for the Strong Family. I feel like he is a stand up man and a great coach.

I was also told that the Herman Family didn't like what was going on with Strong at Texas...so take that how you want

That's the most idiotic thing I've heard through this whole situation..."He's one of us" so was Derrick Todd Lee doesn't mean he Coach the Louisiana State University Fighting Tigres.

Little far? I don't think so

I hope so.

Either he'll be successful and everyone is happy, or he'll flop and at least our fans can't bitch because that's who they wanted.

Lol jk, our fans would still bitch at Alleva or something for hiring a coach they all wanted.
That's not the coach everyone wants, dumbass. Speak for yourself.

This seems like mature and rational response.

I'll agree that jimbo should be # 1 at the moment. But Herman is still growing as a coach, even though he's done a lot in 3 years plus his OC exp.

He's a very intriguing hire. Would be thrilled even though he is more risky than jimbo.

Jimbaw would be a disappointment to me as a hire, because I know we didn't get Herman

This would make the most sense to me cause when we signed Aranda, I felt that this was an interesting move and because of their relationship it was a "first step" process in getting Herman here.

Herman knows what he is getting into and hearin him talk every week here in Houston radio, he would do wonders with the type of players LSU gets in comparison to UH.

Yes he lost to Navy and SMU. Its football and I can tell you that just on talent alone, LSU would beat UH by 3 TD's. But in football it's how you play not who you play and those 2 games UH didn't play well.

I've wanted Herman ever since he started at UH last year. I've been to 6-8 UH games and he has brought excitement again to Universiry of Home.

What "happened" to Les? Given ridiculous amounts of money and a ridiculously long rope to change the offense?
