Tom Herman or Bust

If he doesn't get offered big $$$ by USC or Texas, I want the LSU Tigers to get him! I think he's the real deal.
Obviously if we got Jimbo, I would be more than OK. But if that does happen, you're going to see Herman turn around a program. He's just that good.

You're gonna feel stupid when he signs with South Carolina and LSU doesn't even fire Miles

That's true.
Les also looked really calm at the podium, yesterday. If he's in trouble, he sure as hell didn't show it.

to be fair, if my boss called me into his office today, and i KNEW I had a 15 million dollar severance package, i suspect I would be pretty sanguine about the "meeting"

I'm not saying he CAN'T turn around a program, I just feel he's still unproven for the long haul at this point.

Our program doesn't need a turn around. The talent, facilities, recruiting, fan support, etc. are all there already. It just needs a new staff with a functioning brain.

Herman would be better off staying at UH than going to SC.

Miles wasn't proven before he came here. He was a poultry 28-21 at OSU. Hardly a home run hire.

Houston upped his contract to 3.1 million a year. Do you really want to pay 4 plus a buyout to get him? Is he worth that much?

Herman is the next Meyer, you want a recruiter and an offense. You get mensa member herman

he will have pick of the litter and you think he's gonna pick South Carolina. hahaha a state with no HS talent, has to recruit against Clemson( who Is the better program in the state), Georgia, Florida, plus UNC, NC state, etc etc. if he goes there he will fail just like everyone that came before a guy named Spurrier

The guys has 11 games as a head coach, at Houston, and morons want to spend over $20M on this guys because of potential.
He will not be the head coach next year at USC, Texas, nor LSU. Sorry, chumps.

He has great pedigree, has been excellent every where he's been as an OC and as a recruiter, is highly intelligent, and has turned Houston around big time in one year.
As long as he can coach an offense incredibly well (proven) and recruit well (proven) than I think he'd be a great hire. He learned how big programs are run under Urban Meyer and knows how to coach elite talent like LSU's (OSU had this).
