I like the fact that Miles is adding a Louisiana flavor to the staff. Who would be a great OC with Louisiana ties.

if we had only a slight improvement in the OL.

LSU better hope the change comes now, considering all the young O-linemen coming in and young linemen slated to either start or push for a starting spot. Don't want them regressing before they even take one snap in college under Stud's tutelage.

Our staff has improved tenfold imo.

Just one more to drop...

Would make an outstanding QB's coach. Free up Gary to actually teach this offense to his players. somebody has to start developing our younger QB's.

You think there will be greater production out of the RB's now that Porter is gone? There was definitely something odd going on with that stable, the touches etc.

I can take Wilson's possible drop(marginal) in recruiting, so long as there is slightly greater production in RB play.

Yes. I think Wilson is a vastly superior coach. Porter is a good guy and a great recruiter, I just think Wilson is an upgrade all the way around.

I don't think there will be much drop honestly.

Like I said there was just something not quite right with the LSU RB situation and productivity. It is good to hear the Wilson should help fix those woes, even if it isn't X's and O's, but just inserting the correct RB's for the correct plays/situations.

Admittedly I did say there would if any at all, be a marginal drop in recruiting. Porter was a complete monster on that recruiting trail, who knows Wilson could better him...

Ed Z is the OC at Rice right now. I talked with him a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, I was seconding your sentiments.

Rice is one of the only schools in D-1 with a worse offense than LSU.

The players they lost from last year will do that to a team.

Oh, I'm sure that they lost a lot and had nothing comparable to LSU's talent.

Which makes LSU's offensive production this year even more appalling.

1 I think recruiting will increase with Frank over Porter.

2 I hear from multiple sources that Crowton stays.
Look no new OC comes in with a staff already in place, you give the new coach a chance to bring in who he wants.

3 I know noting on Stud, but i feel he says i hear noting to believe other wise.

Your second point makes sense, but Below Par is pretty cautious about posting his opinions, and he's never been wrong.

It would make sense if they have had preliminary discussions with someone, and they are just waiting for the right time to announce it.
