My dream scenario…

If we don’t get Lane

You bring Saban back just for a 2-3 year deal at most… you let him basically be more of a mentor in the final year of the contract. It would just be funny to troll bama and have him win on his field ??

we bring back Kelvin Sheppard as Def C from what he’s learned under Dan Campbell then under the goat… I think we would have our dynasty… we could get former lsu players who would want to help
Kelvin truly build something special

He may listen but he won't take it. He'll probably recommend Kiffin to LSU since he coached under him.

Agreed. People that think “no way no how” are delusional. Saban coming back is a realistic possibility. I think he feels bad and wants to give us one more championship.

Saban said he quit coaching because he didn’t think he could win anymore.

You know that’s been eating at him to prove himself wrong.

And because he was a gozillionair, and he loved doing it so much, he coached that team for free.

This is so stupid! This reeks of desperation. You LSU folk are better than this.

Media: Saban can't dominate in the new NIL era so he quit.

Now that he's recharged a bit and only been working 30 hour weeks, he's had time to observe NIL, develop a gameplan for handling it, and his itch to coach has returned.

This is a very well written ending to love novel. I’m in.

Batteries are recharged much like Sean Payton did going to Denver. Landry make it happen.

so.. not motivated.

Incorrect. I think the implication is that the motivation would be a strong desire to come back, finish what he started, and leave ona GOOD note. If he truly feels that way, then he would come back passionate about LSU - the main thing that was missing with CBK.

ETA I do not think he would take the job. But yes, you definitely try to talk to him about it.
