To me looks like Brian Kelly is not going the Corey Raymond direction on this staff

He’s been unemployed since November 27 and Coach Kelly would have done something by then or even Coach Raymond would have been employed by then by some other university. Is there something up with coach Raymond and his work ethic or still in negotiations with LSU or somewhere else. Why is he still unemployed?

Because he’s not an elite recruiter in NIL age and he’s been a washed up coach

He’s not a “washed up coach”. He may be burned out on coaching but you don’t get “washed” up from coaching. The technique don’t change

How do you become an elite recruiter in NIL Age? Is that different than being just an elite recruiter?

Initially I thought it may be Raymond, but I agree, it would be done by now if it was him.

The longer this goes on, the more I believe it’s not gonna be CR and at this point, I really don’t care as long as the coach can develop

Corey might have burned his good will while at LSU. He was always holding hostage demanding raise.

His secondary hasn’t been good in last 4 years

Whatever you want to call it, he's old news, and bad news recently.

When I finally retired a couple years back and sold my company, I did it because I was burned out. And, BTW, I wasn't as good as I used to be before that time. Burned out = time to leave and do something else.

Just ask Little Nicky; it was obvious he wasn't the old Nick Saban his last few years...

He has multiple job offers but he wants to be at LSU. I don’t know how long he’s willing to wait, but we have been keeping him on the back burner as a fallback option. There are people in the building who have been lobbying for him, but Kelly is exhausting all options.

That's a good thing. There's lots of options that can recruit AND develop DB's better than Raymond. He's 54 and not getting any younger. Based on the recent string of hires, I'd expect BK to hire a really good coach.

At this point I trust Kelly to make a good move.

Yall are so annnoying with this shite. It’s a little more complicated…

We have 10 positional coaches already. Guess what, that’s how many you are allowed.

So Kelly has to figure out what to do with Diego and the other old fart on defense that was coaching edge and DL and Special teams this year.

With only 2 spots if he does move them out, what does he do? So far we don’t have a LB coach (maybe Baker, maybe Peoples), No TE coach, No DB coach and new special teams coach.

Chess not checkers bro. There’s a lot of shite to determine and he kinda needed to know about Baker and probably Bo and Peoples first.

Message Corey Raymond

Is everyone on this board that simple minded that they can’t fathom that Kelly isn’t hiring a washed up coach that was here before him?

Like there are 100’s of DB coaches, and idiots on here can’t stop saying Raymond.

This is why people make fun of the people from Louisiana.

Can you list them? You state there are "lots" so I'm interested to see who has a better resume.

Some posters here make arguments against CR that have some validity to them. But calling him "washed up" is fricking stupid.

But feel free to disagree with me by regurgitating some dumb shite about getting fired by "Sunbelt Billy". Or maybe you'll ignore that he had a 5-star DB from Texas committed to going to that shithole Gainsville before Napier ran him off. Or maybe you'll do like others and say he only brought in talent but couldn't develop but ignore the amount of players he had drafted. Are there other good DB coaches in this country? of course. But you idiots shitting on CR are proving your own ignorance.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NAME ALL THE ELITE DB’s he recruited. Before you go Stingley or Ricks NEITHER were Raymond recruits nor were any of these guys.

The one thing that is universally accepted here is that Raymond recruited at a very high level. He had a 5-star committed to Florida before he got fired there. If you are going to argue against CR's recruiting, there is no hope of having a rational discussion with you.

The recruiting sites (Rivals and 247) say you are wrong. But carry on with the revisionist history.

You keep posting this list. There are some badasses on that list, but there are some that can't hold a candle to many Raymond recruited.

the last part of the statement I believe. The first part doesn’t pass the sniff test.
Really interested in who has been telling recruits and other “sources” on the periphery that Raymond’s hiring is imminent.
