Was Kellys first choice, now there's no Saban.
Both Kelly and Saban see something in the guy. Go get him.

Are you stupid? We don't want.

I would take him as QB/TE coach. I worry if we keep Sloan, Cortez, and add Rees if there’s gonna too many cooks in the kitchen.

You are high as frick if you think Alabamas turnaround after Texas and USF didn't have a whole lot to do with Rees.
Dude made a scrub like Milroe look decent.

So you think getting Rees and losing Sloan and Underwood is good?

BK wont hire Rees for two reasons: He turned him down when BK asked him to come to LSU the first time and 2nd because sloan is the key to getting underwood.

Yeah I can’t see it after he turned BK down and still wound up at Bama.

Screw that, promote Sloan and bring rees on as an analyst.. he chose them over us, frick him!

I sort of agree and don’t see him as a scorned type of guy. I think he would still do what he feels is best, but I wonder if it still plays a factor in a tough decision.
I am not sure how to feel about Rees. People are afraid to lose Underwood believing if he is hired that Sloan would be gone.
There are so many what ifs both ways. What if Sloan is bad and Rees proves to be great? And you had that opportunity to get him. What if Sloan is awesome and you lose him after a season anyways. I mean you want that because it means you were great, but do you still get Underwood? Sloan likely won’t be here long unless he is content not being a HC. If your offense is awesome regardless of OC shouldn’t that be enticing to play for the HC?
I think I lean Sloan, because I doubt he is gone after one season and I do want to make sure we get Underwood to LSU. I am interested to hear more more pros and cons.

Rees has had plenty of chances to prove he is great. He has instead proved to be exceptionally average but keeps getting jobs. Nothing about him is impressive statistically or objectively.

What does Sloan do in this scenario?

I don’t think BK would see it quite like fans do. Like Bama over LSU.
However, he did give him his huge opportunity at ND. And it was very understandable that he initially chose to stay at ND. He was an ND guy and he was already there, but then he left all that to coach under Saban and not BK. That just has to sting a little.

If Sloan is named OC, he would be fine with it I would assume…

Why? There was nothing special about Bama's offense.
