I haven’t seen a single thread or heard a single comment with that concern.

We have a black interim coach right now that is universally liked in his role. He’s not qualified to be HC, but race is not an issue with our fan base in that manner IMO.

Blake Baker will be LSU's next HC.

Beginning to wonder if Baker hung around because he's the catastrophe candidate in case we're told no literally by everyone with a P5 pedigree

I could see Lanning leaving Oregon. With the conference realignment, he must feel like he’s on a different continent. His chances of winning a championship with Oregon went down significantly in the last couple years.

Florida and Louisiana Governors probably have an emergency meeting tomorrow to get rid of Sexton. Try to put him in the Epstein emails, etc

Uh where would he go right now? Of course he's still "hanging around".

Interesting take coming from the fan of a school who isn’t even a top 8 job in the 16 team conference both schools are in

Lanning was (past tense) at one time a client of Sexton and CAA, he is represented more recently by Clint Dowdle. Dowdle left CAA and Sexton and moved to WME and took Lanning with him to WME.

Don't know where I got Kyle Anderson. Dowdle is also Mike Elko's agent.

ETA:

Article on Dowdle to WME

excerpt

"Beyond Anderson, Dowdle’s client list includes Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning, Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen, and Florida State head coach Mike Norvell."

There really aren't many that have the resume. Fact.

Frank is a good man. He loves LSU and he should always have a job here imo, but a 1 point win over a 2-7 Arkansas team at home with an 18 million dollar roster doesn't erase his objectively terrible prior head coaching history.

I think Freeman would be good here, but he's not leaving Notre Dame to come here. Some people don't like the prospect of Freeman, because we just fired a coach that we hired away from Notre Dame. You making it about race doesn't make it so.
