Whether you believe the “white whale” is some made up fairy tale or actually true. There’s only one and it’s this man.

Has it been discussed why on earth he would possibly even consider leaving Alabama at this point in his career?

He's looking for a new challenge and is getting bored at Bama.

He has openly said he made a mistake leaving LSU. The chance to retire here might be intriguing to him....maybe he's tired of all the BS from Bama fans...who knows...

It's not Saban...although I would absolutely be here for it if for no other reason than to troll bama fans about it.

The only White Whale I'm aware of, is a book by Herman Melville called Moby-Penis.

Just wouldn’t make sense. Why would he leave a place that he is on top and has stability . For a place that’s unstable.

Anyone who thinks there is even a small possibility this would happen must have a much higher opinion of the attractiveness of BR and LSU than I do.
I love it, but I also love my ugly dog that no one else would want. Anyone coming here would have to be someone who has something to prove/accomplish and for whom it would be a big pay raise. Saban does not fit that.

that's our stupid little fantasy fan theories

what would be his angle? it's already in his contract that he automatically gets a pay raise if a HC in the SEC gets a contract that's bigger than his

Did the black helicopters give it away? Should I have use the tin foil hat gif instead?

I know you were being sarcastic, but it gets thrown around enough to where I'm sure some posters actually feel that's a thing.

3 National Championships since 2000 all done by different coaches. I would argue that’s the opposite of unstable. Texas would be the definition of unstable not LSU.

That white whale is too old to be rebuilding a program.

Then that would send him to a different school looking to win a Natty at a third place.

I have my own tin foil hat theory on this as well. The main thing to me is that no reporter has asked him about the LSU job. Why? They asked Jimbo. They asked Napier. They asked Riley. You cant tell me the same reporters that ask stupid freakin questions every press conference know better than to ask him. Perhaps they're instructed not to, but why? Is it cause he has made it clear behind the scenes he has no interest, or perhaps SW is throwing smokebombs for the "insiders" to run with all while negotiating with Saban? I dont think it's Saban but my jaw wont hit the floor if it is. I wont cross his name off until some idiot sportswriter asks him about it.
