Fan bias is so fun and interesting to watch. If this was any other team, you'd be piling on about how big of a piece of shite Lane Kiffen is with every other LSU fan on here. If it's your team: you're all good with it. Another team: he's a piece of shite and would never want him as head coach. And don't worry, every LSU fan is exhibiting this. It's natural, but still fun and interesting to watch.
Moral superiority, lol. You are above it all. Always interesting how people make themselves feel superior. People suddenly become paragons of virtue and the judge of all that is right over the hiring of a football coach, lol.

LSU is now the villain. Learn to embrace it

LSU is not the villain. All fan bases desire to win. The issue is at what cost? Lane has created an image that he is the best available coach when in reality, he appears to be the best based on who is entertaining offers.

If you are going to blow up the coaching salaries model, you should get a proven winner (which he is not). That is where it feels more like desperation than logical.

I’m not saying he can’t be successful at LSU (before all the ‘you scared’ crowd comes out). It just seems like an unnecessary risk especially after the failed Brian Kelly experiment.

Why do LSU fans think this won’t be Brian Kelly 2.0? It feels awfully similar.

A lot of bull shite words to say Lane was the best available hire. If there was a better hire available this coaching cycle let’s hear a name? These pool of coaching candidates was poor this year. Huge drop off after Lane. Not just anyone wins 50 games in 5 years at Ole Miss. He is a historically significant coach in their history.

He has been there 6 years and has a better opportunity. Every coach in the country does this (leaves when they’re hot for better opportunities). But thank you for confirming my point, the fact that he begged to finish the season with Ole Miss and LSU was going to let him will be ignored.

My point went straight over your head. My point is value based. What has he demonstrated that he should be the highest paid coach? He hasn’t. That is why it is a big risk. I stated above this could work out, but I also noted my concerns.

You know how everybody was hating on the Aggies for their schedule this year. Do you know who was easier than ours? Yep - it was Lane and his team.

Y’all think I’m shitting on LSU, and I’m not. We went through this with Jimbo. He brought a lot of flair and excitement, but at the end of the day, I Jimbo was more talk than results.

Are you going to answer my question why you feel this won’t be Brian Kelly 2.0? I’m genuinely curious because I thought Kelly would work out better than it did, but I put that fault on him.

If he was going to Texas, Bama, or Ohio St instead the media wouldn’t say a peep

What you are leaving out is this isn’t the first time he tried to leave. He just wasn’t successful until this year.

You either walk the talk or you don’t. This narrative you are clinging to is ridiculous. That comment was a PR move for gullible fans like you. I can say I wanted to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs too, but it’s pretty meaningless as I won’t be. Ole Miss isn’t letting me coach either and they shouldn’t.

Let’s hypothetically say the Alabama job becomes available next year. Are you ok with the tiger’s letting Lane coach LSU in the playoffs knowing he has an agreement with Bama? Again, we already know he tried to do this before and it was so successful, Saban fired him. You don’t reward someone for leaving. It’s as simple as that.

I find it interesting that I get lots of downvotes yet nobody has taken a stab a answering the question above.
