Two NFL candidates keep coming up with people I hear from, but they never have names.

There are better black candidates than Eric Bieniemy.

Why does he keep getting passed over for NFL jobs? While the NFL is tripping over themselves to signal wokeness and he's attacked to the Mahomes offense, he can't land a head job. Hella sus.

I don’t know why this seems objectionable to people. If we’ve learned anything from last year it’s that young black college men are sensitive to race issues. A black coach mitigates those sensitivities and has a characteristic that immediately makes him relevant and somewhat unique in the college coaching ranks.

You don’t have to like it or even agree with it, but I guarantee you young college aged folks are filtering most things through a racial lens.

Bieniemy, who I have followed since he was a Buff, is a legit dude in every way. He'd absolutely KILL it recruiting and he knows his shite and he has amazing contacts in coaching. Lost in all this affirmative action WOKE anti-competency backlash, is that the first black SEC head coach that does put it all together can build a dynasty.

You had me slightly interested until the racial crap. Cut it out man. Most of us don't give two shits about the color of a coach's skin. We want LSU to win championships, period. Grow the fook up!

Good grief. I really don't believe kids of today are living anything like some people try to make it out to be.

The world has gone full on stupid. Just have a good coach, recruit great players, and win.

Just how sensitive of a world are we living in?

Doesn't get my britches tight. I'd have to see how he performs out from under Reid's wing. I don't want another experiment.

You can see the world the way you want to see it, or you can see it the way it is. I don’t agree with much of the narrative on race, but what I agree with is irrelevant. What young black college men agree with is pretty relevant to college football. Hiring a black coach is not something that’s going to inherently hurt the program, and, assuming he’s a good coach, it could be a huge benefit. Not sure why that’s controversial.

New Orleans guy, great relations, good offensive coach learning under Andy Reid and he’s black. Is he a top candidate? No, but he’s getting a look and he wants the job.

Long-term Red Stick expat and Chiefs fan here. Bieniemy is a good OC, and it would suck to lose him. But the truth is that Andy's offenses are powerhouses because of ANDY - not because he's had an unimaginable string of good luck hiring OC's that can turn nobody QB's into the next Drew Brees.

I look at Coach Reid's OC's like a military XO - they're primarily measured by how well they can implement the CO's orders and vision. That's exactly why Reid's OC's have led juggernaut offenses in KC but have have "meh" results after moving into HC jobs.

Is Bieniemy different? Maybe, maybe not. But he has no head coaching experience, no recent college coaching experience, and would likely be stepping off the plane in Baton Rouge right off a cliff if he took the HC job.

I doubt it's likely (or even possible), but if Bieniemy wanted to get back into the college football game his best options would be at a smaller school, or as the OC at a P5 program (maybe as a "HC in waiting" candidate).

As much as I like what he's done at KC, he's done nothing - NOTHING - to make me think he'd have any success as LSU's head coach.

Could see him doing well here but he’s too much of an unknown for Woody. Need to see how he does at a job without Reid and Mahomes.

Holding him back for Title IX would be nothing short of racism.
