I've lived all over the country and abroad as well, and I love the people of Louisiana far more than anywhere else I have ever lived. I had friends from Fiji in for the Alabama game and these same "rednecks" and "rubes" you guys are slurring impressed them more with their hospitality, graciousness and authenticity than anywhere they have ever been. And they've been everywhere.They gushed. They are still gushing. You guys need to step back from the ledge.

Did you even read the posts?? No one's arguing that our culture and hospitality are second to none. IT'S THE REST OF THE GODDAMN STATE THAT'S LACKING. We can hang out hats on our culture all we want, but we are severely lacking in every single facet of society that really matters. Education, infrastructure, economic diversity, job growth, and on down the line.

Also, racism is still rampant.



Settling for Coach O because of the old guard that wants him is a perfect metaphor for everything else in this state that we settle for.
