I think he stays at OM but I have no sources or anything. Just a hunch at the historically bad timing of making a move right now. I think if they were 9-3 he'd leave.

Kiffin has a chance to become legendary at a top 3 program in the country. And in my opinion will be his last job.

This is true (his last job) for any coach at LSU if you win at a high level consistently.

LSU fans and donors are a fickle bunch, and many still have Saban derangement syndrome... they think LSU will, or should, somehow replicate that dynasty, which will never happen.

A couple miserable seasons can easily do him in. A few great seasons and the right NFL situation can do him in (at LSU).

I hope it's his last job, but I'd never bet on it.

It's been glaringly apparent he was leaving OM for a long time.

It's also glaringly apparent that there are no two entities more ill-suited for one another than Lane Kiffin and the LSU fanbase. The next three years are going to be high comedy.

So what happens when they are 9-3 consistently the next 3-4 years there. This year is different for Ole Miss and look at their schedule. They played Georgia and Oklahoma this year. That’s it.

I have no idea what Lane will do, but people like you who think they know what someone is going to do/think because of their body language on tv are hilarious

I really don’t think anybody knows. Including his family. And it may not be Ole Miss vs LSU. Nothing would surprise me.

Not if he wins. He'd be beyond perfect in that case. LSU fans would love a shite talker who backs it up. Kiffin is Spurrier, except with a Twitter account.

Any coach who loses here will be I'll fitted for this fan base.

His timing will be really bad if he stays, LSU moves on, and Ole Piss is one and done in the CFP.

You better hope so. Right now, to us outsiders, it has all the makings of when one of your buddies is marrying the hot stripper. You just know the inevitable trainwreck is going to be messy.

This is what I think also. The only question I have is. If he's not leaving why drag this on ?

My approach hasn’t changed.. cautiously optimistic but will take everything I read with a grain of salt until something is announced. I was here for the Herman & Riley debacle…

need I remind everyone that Saban has mentioned multiple times regretting leaving LSU.

May not be the plug you think it is. Nick was building something at LSU. That could be Nick saying you’re building something here; see it through.

It shouldn't be a trainwreck with LSU's resources. He has more here than he ever could at Ole Miss. He has already proved he can do it in the SEC. What's stopping him from being better than he was at Ole Miss? Imagine if he had Jayden Daniels the last few years. He'll never get that level of talent at Ole Miss and he knows it. 2 heisman QBs within 5 years both basically all pro NFL QBs.

The drop off from Kiffin to any other option is a cliff so we better get him or we’ll likely be looking for another coach in 2-3 years. I think we got him though.

When and where did he say this? Only place I’ve read that is here. I think people over inflate the meaning of LSU to Saban.

Saban on his biggest professional mistake
