The Colorado job-another reason nobody GREAT wants it.

I was a eight/nine year CU season ticket holder. I am a big CU fan and follow the program.
Some of you know about the lack of facilities, financial constraints, self-imposed-recruiting restrictions, etc.
But what you might not know about is the God awful pervasiveness of close-minded, heavy-handed LIBERALISM. After all, this is a city that makes its own foreign policy and allowed Ward Churchill to flourish long after it was exposed with incontrovertible evidence that he was a fraud.
A football coach is likely to be the single most suspect member of the CU faculty. These are people who terms like "paternalistic hegemony" and "male-dominated rape culture" when refering to college athletics.
Understand that ANY coach that takes that position is deemed guilty and then must begin to prove his political correctness. it is not exactly an environment conducive to attracting a high profile coach. An assistant who wants to put his foot in the door, or a dedicated alum,...sure.

"anti-gay,sexist, deep concerns,abortion,promotion of the bible,chilling effect,embracing diversity,sexist, disempowering women, National Organization for Women, etc"----these are what one hears when discussing who to hire at the University of Colorado.

At every other school in America your boss is the Athletic Director. At CU, you answer to the Dean of the Sociology department and the Dean of the Woman Studies Department and you better toe the politically correct line or they will RUIN you. they will attempt to make you the Enemy of Mankind. It's sport for the Academic Left.
