I read the specifics of your argument. You have failed to explain why the opinions of the Dean of Women's Studies and the like matter one little bit. My guess is that they don't. The burden is on you to connect the dots between your pieces of evidence and their potential effects, which you have not done. Therefore, your argument remains weak.

I can only assume you did not own a television in 1994/1995 or 2004 when the CU faculty conducted a virtual jihad against Coach Mac & Coach Barnett.
A huge percentage of the faculty views CU football as illegitimate and they AGITATE.
Their AGITPROP is reported in newspapers as truth nationwide.
Every year the tension simmers. Every decade it spills over.
Coaching prospects know this. Even if you don't.

Now, could a coach be successful there. Absolutely !
But would an established college head coach throw his name in the ring with all these negatives? Not likely.

First, Calhoun was NEVER a candidate. Never.

CU is one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. It's 25 minutes from a huge urban area in Denver. It is moving to the Pac 12 and will be MUCH easier to recruit to since California is already one of its prime recruiting areas. It has a national championship in the not so distant past. It has 2-3 million to throw at a head coach. And, you only need to average 8 wins/year to keep the natives happy.

Getting a coach will be NO problem. It's no LSU but for a lot of coaches out there, it's a step up.

Agree, My thread was about getting a GREAT Coach, an established coach, a parallel-coaching-position kind of guy. Nobody like that will touch it for a MYRIAD of reasons, one of which is a TOXIC political environment.
