he's not running their offense because he sucked at it and it nearly got him fired.
Running the offense /=/ calling plays

SW set the bar too high with the BK hire.
He was hired two days after Lincon riley for less, so I guess USC set the bar and LSU came in under it.

he’s a dweeb.
i think you need a leader who can motivate guys or you end up with the lazy semi-pro teams you see. Lots of money, there for their paycheck and to put stuff on tape but not especially motivated

I think he's been okay at Mizzou but those have also been some weak schedules.
That’s my concern with him. Limited data on “big games” cause they’ve had some relatively weak schedules… it’s made it easy to get to 9 or 10 wins
he’s been there long enough his record vs Top25 should be better than it is.

Eli Drinkwitz has a career record of 7-16 against AP Top 25 teams, including a 1-9 record against the AP Top 10

He's basically .630 at Mizzou. He's everything we've said about BK, he beats up on weak opponents and can't win the big game. He's 7-16 vs top 25 teams and 1-9 vs top 10 teams. His biggest win is the bowl win vs Ohio State with their 3rd string quarterback, other than that, it's probably a 2022 win over 9-4 Tennessee.
I’m curious. What is the realistic expectation at Mizzou?

Is the fact that it's Eli Drinkwitz.

Drinkwitz just seems too nice and LSU has poached a l few of his coaches.

Yeah he just strikes me as the “well he’s doing this with x amount of talent, at LSU, he’ll do more !”
Doesn’t always work like that as we well know.
Could do worse but just very meh

Ten years, 110 million. I think his buyout right now is 78 million, 67 after this season. It won't drop below 50 million until 2028

So Drink is an odd duck. However, I did listen to his PC today. He knows football. He explained what makes Elko so challenging on 3rd down. In detail. He knows the game. But he is an odd duck.

5. Drink was the flavor of the week every week this season until MIZ started playing teams with a pulse. Heading for 8-4 finish.
I’ll pass.

You're correct. My bad. I thought he signed an 8 year contract.

He is one of those people whose star rose far to quickly. He followed Scott Satterfield at App St. after Sat left for Louisville. He was HC for one good year, then got the Mizzou job. Reminds me of that run of coaches of Boise St. who all had success there, but went on to do absolutely nothing elsewhere.
